Summer 2017 - Week Nine to FifteenJoin us on an epic road trip in the North of Norway
Tromsø is called the “Gateway to the Arctic” because it enjoys more Northern Lights than anywhere else in the world. The city also has two whole months of Midnight Sun. It is the largest city north of the Arctic Circle in the Nordic countries and it is famous for the Northern Lights, the Midnight Sun, Polar Nights, the Arctic Cathedral and the University of Tromsø.
One the places to visit is beautiful Senja, which is a couple hours driving from Tromso and Norway’s second largest island, located far above the Arctic Circle. Here you are greeted by an awe-inspiring mix of sea, mountains, beaches, fishing villages and inland areas, all within a few hours drive. The Oceanside of the island is precipitous with sculptural rocks and colourful fishing villages in sheltered coves. The inland is filled with mountains, lakes and forests, and the mainland-facing coast sports unexpectedly green fields.
Week road trips starting and ending in Tromso 29/7/2017 – 16/9/2017

Before we started our moving hostel project, we travelled around the world and one of the countries we explored was Noway and especially the region around Bergen, because Vidar (who helped built the bus) is so lucky to have grown up in this beautiful part of the world. The landscapes constantly change with each couple kilometers you drive and it is literally is too magnificent for words. The most important reason why you should come on any of our trips is the fact that this is the best way to meet similar minded people and the easiest way to get to know people from all over the world. They’ll become connections for life thanks to the trip you experience together. Something we can all benefit from these days!
